MuShield has developed a process to bring seamless mumetal tubing to the magnetic shielding market. It provides significant advantages over traditional roll formed and welded tubing. The magnetic shielding capabilities of an extruded cylinder are enhanced over a rolled and welded cylinder. Also, the process allows MuShield to produce tighter toleranced and smaller diameter cylinders than are possible with conventional sheet metal roll formed and welded cylinders. It has proven to be an effective, cost effective solution in many applications.
